Getting a Library Card:
Please print and fill out the appropriate paper application form below and bring it to the library to complete the application process.

Getting an e-card:
You can now apply for an e-card to access HML’s digital services. You can convert this card to one with full privileges of the print collection by bringing in proof of identification and address.

All residents of Broome, Chenango, Delaware, or Otsego counties are eligible for a library card. Your first library card is free with the following proof of identification:

  • Adults – To obtain a library card, individuals 16 and older must provide proof of identification and current address.
  • Children – Children under 16 may receive library cards if proof of identification and current address can be provided by a parent/guardian. The parent/guardian will sign the card application to acknowledge responsibility for their children’s account.

Internet Access:
We have seven Internet computers available for patron use. The computers are also connected to a color printer. To use a computer please sign up at the front desk or call in advance. You may sign up for two time slots per day. Wi-Fi is available. Please read our complete Wireless Internet Connection Policy and our Computer Policy.

The cost to print is 25 cents per page.
The cost to copy is 20 cents per page.

Meeting Room:

Fill out a Community Room Reservation Form
The meeting room may be reserved for use by educational, civic, cultural, and governmental groups when no admission charge is made. Interested parties may fill out an application form (also available at the library). Please stop at the library or call for further information regarding the use of our meeting room.

Huntington Park Use:
The Huntington Park was donated by the Huntingtons for the quiet enjoyment of the community.  The community is welcome to utilize the park during daylight hours and must adhere to the City of Oneonta’s Code of Behavior and the Library Park Use Policy.
Please complete the Park Application at least one month prior to your event.
