newsWe are excited to announce a new local history resource that has been created by SUNY Delhi. In spring 2015 SUNY Delhi received a grant to digitize and make freely available online, the complete run of its student newspaper. The paper, which has gone by numerous titles during its long run, spans from 1920 up through the mid-2000s and serves as a record of the history and events of the campus as well as of Delaware and Otsego counties. Librarian Jenny Collins will present a program about the project during Preservation Week and will demonstrate one of the online repositories where all of the newspapers can be accessed as searchable PDFs. People interested in local history or with ties to the school and surrounding counties may find the newspapers to be an excellent resource for genealogy research or just fun browsing.
