Two sessions will be offered on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 7:00pm (Educator Focused – Open to All) or Thursday, Sept. 21 at 7:00pm (General Public – Open to All). Call or stop into the Library to register. Sign up by Friday, July 14th to ensure your FREE copy of Hidden Figures. The discussions will be led by SUNY Oneonta professor Thor Gibbins. This program is in partnership with SUNY Oneonta’s Common Read and is part of HML’s Fall 2017 Women In History Series.
Huntington Library offers a variety of weekly story times through out the summer to help children develop skills that aide in reading development. Story times include stories, rhymes, songs, and craft activities. Separate story times are offered for toddlers, preschoolers, and older children. All story times require preregistration and are free of charge. Registration starts Monday, June 12th.
Join us on Thursday, June 8th from 9am to 12pm for a special Story Walk – a great way to combine literacy and physical fitness! Children will go on a guided exercise adventure in Huntington Park. Each station will have a page from the book posted at it with an exercise. Volunteers from Get Fit Otsego and the Library will be on site. Includes a healthy snack and beverage. Recommend for children ages 2-6.
