The Friends of HML support the library in many ways so become a member and your membership fees will fund programs, services, building improvements and technology updates. The fall membership drive will be underway soon so look for the newsletter in the library and around town. You’ll read about the specific ways that the Friends have impacted the library.
The Friends of HML will be launching the Great Oneonta Read this month. We’re asking you to tell us what book has had the most impact on your life. At the end of the month, we’ll display the list of what the Oneonta library community considers to be the greatest books. We will also have copies of the NY Times PBS Great American Read crossword puzzle and the schedule for the television series on PBS. I can’t wait to see what the Oneonta list looks like and who knows, this might be the perfect opportunity to start that book club you’ve been thinking about.
Banned Book week is September 23 to 29 and once again the Friends of HML are holding their annual drawing.
