Across New York State, libraries will be hosting a community-wide program based on the book Drawdown, edited by Paul Hawkins. Drawdown was the bestselling environmental book of 2017 and offers the most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming. The book launched Project Drawdown which seeks to present the best available information on climate solutions in order to describe their beneficial financial, social and environmental impact over the next thirty years. The solutions are based on information from a coalition of researchers, scientists, graduate students, PhDs, post-docs, policy makers, business leaders and activists. Project Drawdown was founded by author, entrepreneur, and environmentalist Paul Hawken when he decided to map, measure, and model the most substantive solutions to stop global warming and to communicate those findings to the world.

We will be reading books that have been adapted for the silver screen and then watching the movie every second Tuesday at 4:30 pm. Come ready for lively discussion and plenty of popcorn!

At our first meeting, on March 12th, we’ll be getting to know each other and choosing what books to read for the season. Register Today!
